History and construction: The present temple was built in 1926 during the reign of King Aleksandar Karađorđević, on the site of an older Orthodox church/building from the 19th century. It was built with the efforts and contributions of the local population, led by the then Gusinje priest Đorđe Šekularac.
Architecture: It was built of raw/pressed stone as a single-nave building with a stone floor and a gable roof. The openings on the facade are framed by stone arches.
Iconostasis and interior: The iconostasis in the church was made in 1926 and is the work of the famous painter Petar Čolanović, while the icons are made in oil on canvas technique.
Rarities and valuables: The church keeps a valuable collection of about fifty old printed Russian books, seven of which date back to the 18th century.
