The Church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Vinicka (Berane municipality) is an important village shrine and a spiritual gathering place for the inhabitants of this area of Vasojević.
Basic features and history:
Location: It is located in the picturesque and spacious village of Vinicka, located on the left bank of the river Lim, a few kilometers south of Beran (on the way to Andrijevica).
Construction and renovation: It was built with the effort, work and voluntary contributions of the residents of Vinica, displaced families and benefactors of the Beran region. By renewing the old spiritual tradition, the village got its own temple for religious services, weddings and baptisms.
Architecture: It was built in the spirit of traditional sacral architecture of hewn stone. It is a single-nave building with a "horsetail" bell tower above the entrance and a beautifully decorated church gate, which also houses the local cemetery.
Feast and glory (Trojčindan): The temple is dedicated to the Holy Trinity (Spirits/Pentecost), a feast that has a variable date and is celebrated on the fiftieth day after Easter. On this holiday in Vinica, a solemn liturgy is traditionally served and a people's assembly is held, where locals and guests gather.
