The Church of the Ascension of the Lord in the village of Klopot (Bratonožići tribe, Podgorica municipality) is an important village shrine and a spiritual gathering place for the residents of this part of Bratonožići.

History and restoration: There was an old tribal church in this area (in the tradition of Bratonožić, there are deep historical and traditional roots related to old churches). Today's Church of the Ascension of the Lord was renovated and renovated several times with the action and voluntary contributions of Klopot residents, brothers and displaced families from this area.
Architecture: It was built in the spirit of traditional Montenegrin rural sacral architecture of hewn stone. It is a simple and harmonious one-nave building with a belfry "on a horsetail" above the entrance. There is also a local cemetery next to the church.
Feast and assembly (Spasovdan): The temple is dedicated to the Ascension of the Lord (Spasovdan). On this holiday every year in Klopot, a liturgy and a people's assembly are held, where Bratonožići, locals and guests from all over gather.
