The Church of St. Nicholas (that is, the Temple of St. Nicholas of Mirlikiski) is located in the village of Gornja Brezna.

Administratively: Brezna is located in the municipality of Plužine (Piva region), although it is closely connected to Nikšić in terms of traffic and geography (it is located along the road to Plužine).
Church: It belongs to the Piva parish within the Diocese of Budimljansko-Nikšić.

Local importance: The church is the main spiritual and gathering place for the inhabitants of Brezan and the surrounding beer villages, and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas (Nikolai Mirlikiski). There is also a village cemetery next to it.
Renovation: In the past years, the temple went through the process of interior and exterior renovation with the help of contributions and donations from believers and locals.
