Construction and consecration: The construction of the church began at the beginning of the 21st century with the blessing of the then Bishop of Budimlja-Nikšić (now Metropolitan) Ioanniki, and the local community and the believing people of the region actively participated in the construction.
Architecture: The church was built in the traditional Serbian-Byzantine style, with modest dimensions, but with a distinctive dome design and a beautifully decorated porta (church yard) that serves as a gathering place for the locals.
Spiritual life and councils: The main annual council and temple celebration are celebrated on May 3, the day when the transfer of the relics of Saint Nicholas of Žički is celebrated. Then the holy archbishop's liturgy is served in the temple with the presence of a large number of believers from Bijelo Polje and its surroundings.
