Đurđevića Tara is one of the most famous and picturesque villages in the northern part of Montenegro (Pljevlja municipality), located in the immediate vicinity of Kosanica and the deep canyon of the Tara River.

The village is globally recognizable for the Great Bridge on the Đurđevića Tara, one of the most beautiful and impressive construction projects from the first half of the 20th century (built in the period 1937-1940 according to the project of engineer Mijat Trojanović).
The bridge bridges the Tara canyon at a height of about 170 meters and is a real architectural jewel and the main tourist attraction of this region.
2. Geographical position and connection with Kosanica
The village is located at the intersection of the roads connecting Pljevlja, Žabljak and Mojkovac.
It is located at the transition from the spacious and colder Kosanica plateau down to the Tara River itself, which gives it a specific position - microclimatically, it is slightly warmer compared to the high Kosanica, and from many points there is a view of the vertical cliffs of the canyon.
