Kulina (often popularly called Kuline) is a small but historically and geographically extremely interesting hamlet/village located in the canyon of the Tara River, in the immediate vicinity of the famous Dobrilovina Monastery (Mojkovac municipality).

1. The beginning of the name (Tower on the Rock)
Architectural heritage: The village got its name from the tower (fortification/watchtower) that was located on a hill or rock above this area.
Historical role: It is believed that there was a fortification on that site that served to protect the Dobrilovina Monastery itself and monitor the passage through the narrow and dangerous canyon of the Tara River during the Ottoman rule.
2. An unbreakable connection with the Dobrilovina Monastery
Kulina is located just below or in the immediate vicinity of the Dobrilovina Monastery (dedicated to Saint George), which dates back to the end of the 16th or beginning of the 17th century and is known as "Mala Morača".
This entire part was historically and spiritually connected to the monastery property, so the inhabitants of Kulin and the surrounding villages were the guardians and support of this sanctuary for centuries.
3. Geographical position and nature
The village is located on the regional road that leads from Mojkovac towards Đurđevića Tara and Žabljak.
It is surrounded by steep cliffs of the Tara canyon and dense coniferous and deciduous forests (nearby is the famous black pine reserve "Crna Poda").
Due to its location in a valley/canyon, the landscape is extremely picturesque, and the microclimate is pleasant with plenty of clean water and greenery.

Today, a small number of residents or families live in Kulina, engaged in traditional agriculture, beekeeping and fruit growing.
Due to the proximity of the Dobrilovina Monastery, the Tara River and the Durmitor National Park, this area is a frequent stop for tourists, passers-by and lovers of untouched nature traveling through the Tara Canyon.
