Podbišće is one of the most famous, oldest and largest villages in the municipality of Mojkovac, located in the immediate vicinity of the city core.

Location: The village is located on the left bank of the Tara River, at the foot of the slopes of Mount Sinjajevina (it also stretches along the main road that connects Mojkovac with Kolašin and Podgorica).
Landscape: The landscape combines a gentle plain along the river with lush forests and hills in the hinterland, so it is considered one of the most beautiful and greenest settlements in Mojkovac.
2. Rich history and the Battle of Mojkovac
Podbišće has a long history and deep roots in Potari.
During the famous Battle of Mojkovac (January 1916), the wider area of Podbišće and the surrounding hills was the scene of fierce battles of the Montenegrin army against the Austro-Hungarian forces. A number of prominent fighters and historical figures from that and later periods originate from this village.

In the village there is the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, which is a spiritual and folk gathering place for the inhabitants of Podbišće and the surrounding hamlets.
