Kaludra (in some records marked as a hamlet of the larger village of Bistrica) is located in the municipality of Mojkovac, in the picturesque valley of the Tara river. This settlement offers an authentic experience of the north of Montenegro, and is characterized by the following specificities: 1. Geographical position and natural environment It is located in the Tara valley: Kaludra lies in the immediate vicinity of the Tara river and includes gentle meadows, orchards and forest areas at the foot of the mountain massifs. Connection with Sinjajevina: Old Katunian roads lead from this area to the Sinjajevina plateau and mountain, as well as to Lake Zaboj. 2. Traditional way of life and rural households The population is traditionally engaged in animal husbandry, beekeeping and fruit growing. The area is known for the preparation of homemade food and dairy products (leaf cheese, cream), organic vegetables and homemade fruit products. The spirit of old crafts has been preserved in the village - some villagers are still engaged in carpentry, making folk instruments (fiddles) and woodcarving. 3. Eco and rural tourism In recent years, Kaludra has been gaining popularity among lovers of peaceful vacations and nature. There are several rural households and camps (such as Camp Kaludra) in the hamlet that offer accommodation and organized tours of the area. It is an excellent base for day trips to the Tara River, a tour of the Durmitor National Park and hiking in Sinjajevina.
